Veronica "Randy" Crawford (born February 18, 1952, Macon, Georgia) is an American jazz and R&B singer. She has been more successful in Europe than in the United States, where she has not entered the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist. Her only appearance on the Hot 100 chart was in 1979 as a guest vocalist on The Crusaders's top 40 hit "Street Life". She has had five Top 20 hits in the UK, including her 1980 number 2 hit, "One Day I'll Fly Away", as well as six UK Top 10 albums. The album, Secret Combination (1981) stayed on the UK Albums Chart for sixty weeks, after which her profile dipped, despite a return to the UK Top Ten with "Almaz" in 1986  . "Randy Crawford, Lalo Schifrin - Love Theme - The Competition (People Alone)".

Take me along I don't care where you have come And I don't have to know Exactly where you're going If you leave me behind Then everything on your mind Will turn to pictures of the world We might have been. People alone may go very fast But maybe not so far Playing alone is still solitaire Remember People alone may reach for a love But only half as well People alone may seem satisfied How can they tell ? If we're crossing the line Where there's no yours and no mine We'll find it easy to see People should be together. Take me along Let's not be people alone I'm on your mind So please don't leave me behind Crossing the line Where there's no yours and no mine. Compositor: L. Schifrin/w. Theme from Mission: Impossible" is the theme tune of the TV series Mission: Impossible (1966–1973). The theme was written and composed by Argentine composer Lalo Schifrin and has since gone on to appear in several other works of the Mission: Impossible franchise, including the 1988 TV series, the film series and the video game series. The theme is written in a 54 time signature which Schifrin has jokingly explained as being "for people who have five legs".

The book is illustrated with extended excerpts from his most iconic scores such as Mission: Impossible.

Writer/director Ryan Schifrin's debut feature film Abominable cannot be dismissed simply as a low-budget, straight-to-video monster movie for two reasons. First, it had a theatrical release - technically. Second, it has a surprisingly high-budget, full-scale orchestral score, played by the 90-member Czech National Symphony Orchestra. Outsourcing film scores to the non-unionized former Iron Curtain countries is a popular means of keeping costs down
