Type and artwork on sleeve are extremely blurry, as if this were a poorly rendered counterfeit of another release. Yet my copy, just like the one shown here, has "Made in Italy" on the label and the Italian performance rights society stamp

This is not to be confused with the album of the same name, Disneyland Records 2507, from 1979. Though identical in title, its content is almost entirely unique.

Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House is an LP album intended for "older children, teenagers, and adults", released by Disneyland Records (now known as Walt Disney Records). The album was mainly composed of sound effects that had been collected by the sound effects department of Walt Disney Studios. The album was released in several different forms. The album was first released in 1964 in a white sleeve, with a second release in 1973 with an orange sleeve.

The Haunted House has direction-it doesn't blindly stumble through black metal tropes with a bunch of interchangeable tracks. It takes the listener on a sort of descent, from the blistering guitars of the opening track to the sombre melancholy of the closer. Pyha is certainly a band that has earned my interest and has proven that they are not merely a gimmick of mystique from a surprising place.
