John Baxter (born 14 December 1939 in Randwick, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian-born writer, journalist, and film-maker. Baxter has lived in Britain and the United States as well as in his native Sydney, but has made his home in Paris since 1989, where he is married to the film-maker Marie-Dominique Montel. They have one daughter, Louise. He began writing science fiction in the early 1960s for New Worlds, Science Fantasy and other British magazines

Jeffrey Allen "Skunk" Baxter (born December 13, 1948) is an American guitarist, known for his stints in the rock bands Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers during the 1970s and Spirit in the 1980s. More recently, he has worked as a defense consultant and chairs a Congressional Advisory Board on missile defense. Jeffrey Baxter was born in Washington, . Baxter graduated from the Taft School in 1967 in Watertown, Connecticut, and was a self-described preppie.

Baxter is the complete discography of the Chicago post-hardcore and art punk band Baxter, spread out over two CDs. It compiles all of their work from (the Troy's Bucket cassette and the Lost Voices.
