This Will Destroy You is the eponymous second studio album by American avant-rock band This Will Destroy You. It was released on January 29, 2008 through Magic Bullet Records. The vinyl version of the album was pressed on red, blue and white vinyl and contains a quote from the television series Deadwood ("I may have fucked my life up flatter than hammered shit, but I stand before you today beholden to no human cocksucker") etched around the center label.

S/T is the second album from THIS WILL DESTROY YOU, clocking in at 7 tracks and 52 minutes. Recorded and produced by John Congleton (EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, MODEST MOUSE, R. KELLY), it is a stunning and worthy follow-up to Young Mountain. Darker and seamlessly more dynamic and emotionally gripping than its predecessor, S/T is primed and ready to push their entire genre forward and continue to win the band hearts and minds across the planet. This is a landmark album by a band that will inevitably be mentioned in the same breath as MOGWAI and SIGUR RÓS without hesitation.

Complete your This Will Destroy You collection. Vinyl looks more orange than gold. Returned first copy as it was filled with black specks & streaks.

This Will Destroy You was formed by guitarists Chris King and Jeremy Galindo, bassist Raymond Brown and drummer Andrew Miller in San Marcos, Texas, in 2005. They had met through mutual friends, and played together in various different bands throughout high school, before the line-up was finalised by around 2002.

Studio album by This Will Destroy You. Released. Burial on the Presidio Banks" is featured in the final scene of CSI: Miami episode "Flight Risk".

2007 saw even more growth for the band, as their music started seeing placement in everything from skateboarding and paintball videos to cable networks (VH1, Fuel, MTV) to independent documentary films and even major studio films

  • Who's the second person claiming to have a copy of this? Only one exists, but two say they have it in the stats.

  • Easy to find out. I uploaded the picture therefore I am the owner of it. There have no been two such copies for sure. The record was immediately sold out after I purchased it.The other dude is just an ignorant person, living in an illusion.

  • Vinyl looks more orange than gold. Returned first copy as it was filled with black specks & streaks. Replacement copy was the same way. Black marks did not affect play, purely cosmetic blemishes.

  • I bought one of these blind color copies directly from the Magic Bullet web shop. Both discs are an ugly gray amalgamation and sound pretty bad.

  • Another poor pressing of this album. Plenty of surface noise, slightly off-center, and kinda warped. Are there any clean vinyl copies of this album in existence?

  • I have a gray marble version, and it kind of sounds like complete ass. Super, SUPER dirty out of the jacket, and it's loaded with pops and clicks and lots of surface noise, even after cleaning. I would strongly urge you stay away from this pressing. Bought in NYC on 11/20/16 at their 10th anniversary show for Young Mountain.

  • Same. Mine was warped too. Sounds pretty rough. Amazing band, though!

  • Hi there! I might be stupid but l don't get the description: is it in vinyl or CD? I am looking for the vinyl album (especially for "the mighty rio grande"...) thanks for your answers!FL

  • I had a copy that I acquired by a private order in a local record store. I returned the copy for a refund because the pressing was so-so (clear vinyl). There was also a lot of black and white marks on the clear gold vinyls (most of them were not affecting the sounds) and some chip on the edge...

  • mine also also those black marks on the clear vinyl. Dunno what it is but doesnt affect play

  • I just got this in the mail and the barcode and label/catalouge number is the same as this release but my vinyl is not black. It's transculent orange/gold. On the plastic cover there's a sticker that says "Limited Edition Color Vinyl". This release will go in my collection anyways, just wanted to let you all know that the colour of the record in my hands is not black.

  • Same here

  • So I got this from amazon, and instead of being clear, it was a mix of clear with black haze. I'm assuming it is most likely due to the transition between them pressing black vinyl and then clear vinyl right after. But I haven't been able to find any pictures online, so I guess it's possible that everyone's clear pressing looks like this. What do your guys' pressings looks like?

  • Interesting. I should post pictures of my pressing to the album page, and see if anyone else's is as drastic as mine. I wonder if you and I just got pressings at the end of the color....

  • The A/B side has a tiny bit of black streak in the middle. The C/D side is perfectly clear.

  • Does anyone know if this is the version that will come if you order from Amazon? I love the album but I reeeeally hate the artwork for the vinyl pressings before this.

  • Does anyone know of a clear/smokey pressing with the cd album art on it?

  • amazing album, cover is gross

  • simply one of the best post rock Releases in history.

  • Someone can confirmed me that barcode is 7 1157451231 7?
