Then she's gone and my friends can come along and they tell me that I'm happier. One more fight, yeah, you tell me all the time How do I swallow my pride? But she's the one, she's the one, but she's the one, she's the one. Time and time I hear things that can't be true and it's only talk cause she'll never be so cruel; Every night there's a new name on her arm that I don't think I recognize and it's never strange just how long she stays away I guess I'll have to compromise

Caribou is the eighth studio album by Elton John, released in 1974. It was his fourth chart-topping album in the United States and his third in the United Kingdom. The album contains the singles, "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", which reached number 16 in the UK Singles Chart and number 2 in the US, and "The Bitch Is Back", which reached number 15 in the UK and number 4 in the US. Both these singles reached number 1 in Canada on the RPM 100 national Top Singles Chart (as did the album itself)

Our Love, his first album as Caribou in four years, is his first full-length that doesn’t come with a major shift from the sound of its predecessor. This is body music on the same general wavelength as Swim, albeit slightly warped and refined. The differences, then, are deeper: this is Snaith’s most overtly personal record to date, one that’s remarkable for its intimacy, openheartedness, and joy derived from basic human connection.

Daniel Snaith (recordings and live) Ryan Smith (live) Brad Weber (live) John Schmersal (live). Their album, reissued a couple years ago by Frederiksberg Records, is killer. 3 May ·. We've repressed the 7" for Melody Day for the first time since its release 12 years ago. Featuring the beautiful Four Tet remix.

All told, Our Love stands as the most straightforwardly danceable Caribou album to date, but holds on to both the experimental bent and composition-minded musicality that helped build the project's one-of-a-kind sound world.

Our Love leaked very early, somewhere around August, which was a bummer for Dan Snaith but I celebrated the fact that I could enjoy this album early. I've Always been a big fan of Snaiths work, and I think with this album, he delivered his best work to date. Our Love has the most similatirities with Swim, but what stands out is the variety on the record. The electronic soundscapes and melodies combine with beats in a way I haven't heard before

Best of all might be "Back Home," a stark ballad that explodes into surging synth pop à la Depeche Mode at their angstiest. The decisive chorus on "Back Home" stands out on Our Love, which otherwise often feels placid. You wait for Snaith to really let it rip, and it just doesn't happen-it's like he's afraid of making too much racket. Like most Caribou albums, Our Love is a grower, and over the last few months I've come to appreciate its nuanced production, even on songs that initially fell flat. But I still can't help but feel underwhelmed. Considering how Snaith has grown since Swim, Our Love could have been a career-defining masterpiece.
