The UK label first teased the album, part of its ongoing ten-year celebrations, back in January. Now they've revealed the full details, along with the release date: April 27th. The 14-track compilation features new material from Cooly G, Girl Unit, Asmara, Fiedel, Bok Bok, Kelela, Lil Silva and Helix (who is in the process of putting out three LPs on Night Slugs this year). After that there will be a compilation called Night Slugs White Labels, which collects tracks released on their vinyl-only NSWL series.

Night Slugs' record covers- all designed by co-founder and label contributor Bok Bok- are always combinations of black and one or two other colors, presented in various shades. Usually, the image is geometric and semi-architectural (a suspension bridge and car; glowing pistons spelling out words), but presented ag ainst a completely black background in a way that makes them look iconic, like they're without space or landscape. Those arguments can be fun, like: Two tracks from Lil Silva seems more generous toward Lil Silva than to us as listeners; "She Wore Velour" is a more obvious choice for Velour than "Booty Slammer"; and "Bust Broke" as a choice for Kingdom feels willfully evasive when we have "Fogs", but they're both good.

What started as a DIY club night in Camberwell grew into a decade spanning story, involving multiple continents and a varying cast of artists. Many things change in a decade, and as 2018 finds the label s affiliated artists in different places to where they were at the beginning there s a core family ethos in London and beyond that still binds the Night Slugs imprint. They perceive an almost entirely different club environment to their humble beginnings in 08, throwing raves at The Redstar at a time when things felt much more closed

Night Slugs shell down a floorshow of bangers from Bok Bok, Ikonika, DJ C, Hysterics, Girl Unit, Jam City, Neana, L-Vis 1990, NA, . Six years since they first took a hold, the label demonstrates a subtly matured version of its younger self here, running aces from the old firm alongside freshest future boogie and R&G from new signings and pals.
