Notes
The double-DVD Concert For Ronnie Montrose - A Celebration Of His Life In Music covers a lot of ground. Maybe if Ronnie Montrose had known how loved and respected he was, things would have turned out differently. As it is, the Concert For Ronnie Montrose - A Celebration Of His Life In Music, staged at San Francisco's Regency Ballroom and filmed for DVD release, is jam-packed with some major A-listers, paying homage to the guitarist who passed away on March 3, 2012. The show features the music and songs from various chapters in the Montrose story. The show itself was a fitting tribute that not only brought the players together, but brought back memories of some serious kick-ass early 70s American hard rock that set the tone for years to come. My Preordered Set came with a Program from the Tribute Show, the Ronnie Montrose release "Bearings" and Ronnie Tribute Shirt. Both Are High Quality.Barcode and Other Identifiers

The passing of Ronnie Montrose hit hard, in particular the heavy music community, which banded together the original lineups of MONTROSE and GAMMA plus scores of other guests to pay homage to Mr. Bad Motor Scooter himself.

Ronnie Montrose was born in San Francisco and moved with his family to Colorado when he was two, returning back to his native home when he was 19 years old. In 1969, he started a band with Bill Church called Sawbuck, but that project got sidetracked when Ronnie was hired to do studio work with Van Morrison (Tupelo Honey), Boz Scaggs, Edgar Winter, Herbie Hancock, and others. In 1973, he formed his own band, Montrose, who recorded two albums together. The debut Montrose album went platinum and has been called the first American heavy metal album
