Hot Chip's fifth album is a multi-coloured riot of electro, funk and pop – and possibly their best yet. Produced by the band themselves, it's designed for the dancefloor yet never feels short of gigantic pop melodies. Explaining the joyous approach, Joe Goddard said: "I want to listen to records like Never Too Much by Luther Vandross. I don't want to listen to a band caught up in their hang-ups and problems. That's just not interesting to m. The Guardian's Michael Hann recently spoke to the band and concluded that Hot Chip "look and sound increasingly.

Hot Chip are an English synth-pop band formed in London in 2000. The group consists of ts Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin. London's Hot Chip has rediscovered the joy in its life and music. The somewhat somber glory of 2010's One Life Stand, however, can still be heard in spots. Look at Where We Are" works over a wistful texture with an Alexis Taylor falsetto that's pure R&B. Motion Sickness" has a relentless but luxurious groove that's filled with sweet points of light and elliptical keyboard riffs. How Do You Do?" works playfully with a mechanized, hypnotic bass line underneath the synth patches. Disco, techno, and synth-pop coalesce in unpredictable patterns to create music that's innovative yet still comforting and familiar. In Our Heads Hot Chip.

Hot Chip are back with their latest album, In Our Heads, and though it’s not necessarily the instant hit the previous records have been, there’s still enough gems to keep fans happy. It builds too, and grows in strength the more you listen to it, making it more impressive the more you take i. .Opening track, Motion Sickness, kicks it off with subdued nostalgia and a big beat intro. It picks up pace and changes direction brilliantly in the final third, underpinning what will become of the rest of the album  . Hot Chip’s In Our Heads doesn’t necessarily feel like a contender to earlier albums straight away, but it slowly draws you into the mastery of the band’s electro-pop skills.

Produced by Hot Chip. All this talk is getting me down Nothing's making sense in my brain I’m moving words across the terrain Trying hard to fix to the page I’m wedded to the thought that we came Only to discover our names And blow a horn of love in refrain And watch things drop down And watch things drop down And.

In Our Heads is also Hot Chip's most direct album yet, delivering their quirks and grooves with bigger, broader strokes that don't feel dumbed down; "Let Me Be Him" spells out the album's themes, but also decorates them with chirping birds and languid guitars that sound like an idyllic afternoon in a park

Hot Chip’s first album Coming On Strong came out in 2004 and since then, they have changed songwriting tendencies slightly with every album while maintaining their colorful qualities and perfecting their sound. On 2008’s Made in the Dark they based most of their songs as love ballads while 2010’s One Life Stand took a more somber tone and strayed into introspective thoughts. They have always used high-powered synth and magnetic percussion accompanied by singer Alexis Taylor’s smooth tenor vocals
