Goldfinger is the self-titled debut album by punk rock band Goldfinger, released on Mojo Records in February 1996 and produced by Mojo founder Jay Rifkin. The album was a hit on college radio. The single "Here in Your Bedroom" was a top 5 rock hit in the . in the summer of 1996, and also reached on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart, making it their highest charting single ever. The album was certified Gold in Canada (50,000 copies) in 2002.
About this album:This album is a little different then their first, their first album was more fast paced and loud, while this album is moremedium speed and medium paced for the most part. This album is still good but no goldfinger album can beat goldfingers first album. You might have heard the song "superman" on the first tony hawk game for play.
On their second album, Hang-Ups, Goldfinger wisely decided to expand their ska-punk base, adding stronger melodic elements drawn from '60s pop and '70s punk. As a result, the record is stronger and more varied than its predecessor, which helps put their ska workouts in sharper relief. They still have a bit of trouble putting together a consistent set of material, but on the whole, Hang-Ups is evidence that the band is starting to mature and improve.

Funny enough, the album was very much a studio assembled piece of work. Although the core 4 members were a band already, there's a ton of cameos on the CD, including Scott and Dan from Reel Big Fish on horns, and Angelo Moore from Fishbone on saxaphone and backup vocals. This obviously to satisfy the at-the-time popularity of ska. Regardless, the result is great and very much missed among Goldfinger's new material. The CD itself is a great mix of ska, punk, rock, and a fusion of all three.
Band Name Goldfinger.
Hang-Ups is Goldfinger's second album. Many of the album's tracks feature more of a ska sound than their debut. The album's first single "This Lonely Place" was not as successful as "Here in Your Bedroom", a single off their debut album, but it did gain them numerous talk show appearances and spins of the video, which parodies the 1979 film Alien.
