Reel Big Fish is an American ska punk band from Orange County, California, best known for the 1997 hit "Sell Out". The band gained mainstream recognition in the mid-to-late 1990s, during the third wave of ska with the release of the gold certified album Turn the Radio Off. Soon after, the band lost mainstream recognition but gained an underground cult following. As of 2006, the band is no longer signed to a major record label, and has since been independent

All Reel Big Fish's albums are great, but this is the one, the best. Some fans may not agree, saying 'Turn The Radio Off' was better with songs such as 'Sell Out' and 'Beer', but whilst these were the highlights of that album, this has a better overall standard. The sound is a great mix of catchy ska with the trumpets and offbeat ska rhythms, and rock 'n' roll, with some great guitar work on this album. Aaron Barret sure can play the guitar. Lyrics - 8 The lyrics are typical Reel Big Fish - sarcastic. But that's why it's great

Album Why Do They Rock So Hard? She's Famous Now Lyrics. I've got the measles And she's got the mumps I'm sick of waiting by the door In case she comes home. In the mid 00’s, it was rumored that this song was about the end of a relationship between Aaron Barrett (Reel Big Fish’s lead vocalist) and Gwen Stefani. Gwen Stafani was the lead vocalist (and co-founder) of No Doubt, which released the ska punk album Tragic Kingdom in 1995. This would have made Barrett and Stefani contemporaries, lending some plausibility to the theory that they might have been involved with each other

This is a sweet song, and a better version of their secret song on "Turn The Radio Off". It was actually pretty easy to figure out, so I was confused as to why no one else has put it out yet. Don't let all the notes scare you, its a slower song, so its not that hard ~ hold note Intro:(just guitar then bass) G:- - D:-1-4-1-4-1-4-. -1-4--- a:2-2---2-2---2-2-.
