The flexi disc (also known as a phonosheet, Sonosheet or Soundsheet, a trademark) is a phonograph record made of a thin, flexible vinyl sheet with a molded-in spiral stylus groove, and is designed to be playable on a normal phonograph turntable. Flexible records were commercially introduced as the Eva-tone Soundsheet in 1962, and were very popular among children and teenagers and mass-produced by the state publisher in the Soviet government.

Mick Ronson was an English guitarist, pianist, composer, t, arranger and producer  . Roger Taylor discusses Mick Ronson in ‘Beside Bowie: The Mick Ronson Story’.

The flexi disc captures a telephone interview between Mick Jagger and a representative of King Records in Tokyo, the distributor of London Records in Japan. The rare artifact's title translated to "'Hello, This Is Mick Jagger!' LONDON to TOKYO April 17, 1968" has been restored and reissued on flexi disc with a picture sleeve lovingly restored to look just like the original. The original intended album cover art for Beggars Banquet was initially rejected both by London Records, the band's . label as well as Decca, their UK label. The Michael Vosse photograph of a vandalized restroom wall (Jagger and Richards provided the graffiti, the restroom was inside a Porsche dealership) was deemed offensive, possibly because the top of an open toilet is captured in the shot.

The cheap, lightweight "Soundsheet" once graced magazine covers in its millions. The flexi disc has, for a physically flimsy format, an incredibly diverse background, and its story incorporates everyone from the Beatles, David Bowie, and ABBA, to Alice Cooper and heavy metal. In terms of retail it cropped up with National Geographic, in a million-dollar McDonalds campaign, and on the covers of numerous teenybopper magazines.
