Sonar, Sphere (1998). Mutant Revisited by DJ Trace (1996). Coffee (Full of Flavor Mix) by DJ Trace (1994). was remixed in. Sonar (Optical & Trace Remix) by Optical, DJ Trace (2000).

referencing Sonar, Sphere, 12", PRO 012. Sphere is the 303 stepper to end all. This is the one for me on here. Optical shines through well and he hit a level of sci fi minimalism on Sphere that was out of this world really. Reply Notify me 1 Helpful. referencing Sonar, Sphere, 12", PRO 012. Sonar is a monstrous classic techstep but Sphere is nonetheless a great tune and a bit underrated imo.

from Wither "Necropolis" by Aurora Australis Records. Oh my! This album is truly ambitious and very impressive. The traditional black metal melodies and the not so traditional orchestral passages flow together seamlessly. Masterful and impressive stuff here. Cannot recommend highly enough. 9/10 RJ. go to album. The Incubus Of Karma by Mournful Congregation. Aussie funeral doom merchants return with another pummeling classic. Also, every plane through the origin intersects the unit sphere in a great circle, called the trace of the plane. This circle maps to a circle under stereographic projection. So the projection lets us visualize planes as circular arcs in the disk. Snyder, John P. (1989). An Album of Map Projections, Professional Paper 1453. US Geological Survey. (1993).

  • Two great tracks, Sonar gotta be my favourite one though!

  • Sphere is the 303 stepper to end all. This is the one for me on here. Optical shines through well and he hit a level of sci fi minimalism on Sphere that was out of this world really.

  • Sonar is a monstrous classic techstep but Sphere is nonetheless a great tune and a bit underrated imo.

  • Sonar is better than Sphere, hands down. However Sphere is still a great tune.

  • Trace's "Sonar" tune is dark and heavy. One of the best d&b tunes I've ever heard and I heard this track on Drum & Bass Arena with Randall.. Also a Mampi Swift tape from 1998 at Helter Skelter... Excellent tune!

  • Now I listen it does sound like Dom & Roland

  • The Sonar Track Sounds More Like A Ray Keith Tune To Me....

  • Sonar is a classic,

  • i stopped paying attention to d&b in 97, so this is my first time hearing "sonar", but it sounds like "liberty 1" remixed

  • 'Sonar' is a tech step classic & a anthem that is still played today. Starting with sinister piano sounding hooks & a neat drum break you get a little silent breakdown before the drop which is awesome! Huge reece bassline & crashing tramen drums are the order of the day. Production credits must also go out to Dom & Roland on this tune. 'Sphere' is a nice rolling techno number which is hugely overlooked by may fans. Credit also to Optical on this excellent number. This record is well worth tracking down on the excellent Prototype recordings label.

  • Just a small point, but the Tramen break appeared earlist on Mutant Revisited in 1996. It also use's the same 'Reece' bass sound. These are tunes produced with the help of Dom & Roland even though he is uncredited.

  • Just a small point, but he is credited as engineer on both, Producer on Mutant Revisited. Maybe engineering is more than a helping hand but credit is given there. Perhaps he was not 'credited' by the general dnb-buying public at the time. Apparently Trace went on to use Tramen's on Sniper etc. where Dom isn't credited, but then a lot of others did the same in their productions.

  • Sonar is a classic, and was groundbreaking, also in terms of production at the time it came out. First tune using the legendary 'tramen'-break (amen + tighten up), which was originally made by Dom & Roland.
