Everything Playing is an album by The Lovin' Spoonful, released in 1967. Everything Playing was the first album featuring guitarist Jerry Yester (who replaced Zal Yanovsky) and the last commercial album as a quartet; principal songwriter and lead singer John Sebastian would leave the group in June 1968 for a solo career. This album also features the only known track to feature bassist Steve Boone on lead vocal: "Priscilla Millionaira".

The Lovin' Spoonful's fourth album, Everything Playing, was made under trying circumstances. Musically, the Sgt. Pepper/Summer of Love era had made the Spoonful's good-time, jugband approach obsolete, and chief songwriter John Sebastian had to try to keep up. Personally, the group had suffered the disaster of a drug bust that resulted in the departure of lead guitarist Zal Yanovsky, who was replaced in August 1967 by Jerry Yester
Daydream (The Lovin' Spoonful album). Daydream is the second album by The Lovin' Spoonful, released in 1966. It features two hits, the title track, which reached No. 2 in the . Billboard Top 40 charts, and "You Didn't Have to Be So Nice" (. No. 10). With only five originals on their debut release, Daydream featured much more songwriting by singer and vocalist John Sebastian, who either wrote or co-wrote all but one of the songs on this release.

Everything Playing" is The Lovin' Spoonful's most consistent album. It doesn't suffer from the same identity crisis as "Hums of The Lovin' Spoonful", where the band tried to cram every single genre they could find into the album. It actually sounds like it had some genuine thought put into. There's a clear direction in the sound from beginning to end; the absence of unnecessary fillers is a welcome addition, as well. Although, the album isn't entirely free from flaws
