Black Rivers Flow, which will be released on the 28th of January in Europe and on the 1st of February, 2011 in the USA via Metal Blade records. Exhibit A for 2011 is Lazarus . who had a decent if not remarkable debut with 2009’s The Onslaught. Although I hate metalcore like I hate taxes, there was enough aggression, energy and nods to the old school throughout The Onslaught to make it semi-palatable and I didn’t totally hate it. Well, there is simply no digesting their second platter Black Rivers Flow, as Lazarus .

This album "works", because it reminds of those other great bands I love like Pantera, Lamb of God and even Exodus and Testament, alot of other metal bands get lost in their influences, and they're still evident here with Lazarus AD but you can tell they are maturing, and finding their own voice slowly, but surely. The difference? these guys are doing it with slick proficiency. Sooner or later, if they keep up the hard work, progression and don't stale through lack of good creativity, these guys will be HUGE.
