Nevermind is the second studio album by American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991 by DGC Records. A number of labels courted the band, but Nirvana ultimately signed with Geffen Records imprint DGC Records based upon repeated recommendations from Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and their management company. Produced by Butch Vig, it was the band's first release on the label, as well as the first to feature drummer Dave Grohl.

Nevermind is the second studio album by the American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991, and their first release on DGC Records. Despite low commercial expectations by the band and the label, Nevermind became a surprise success in late 1991, largely due to the popularity of its first single, "Smells Like Teen Spirit".

my copy of nevermind is exactly like this one listed here except for the fact that it does not contain endless nameless, and on the inside of the cd ring the code is different it says didx-011927, not what the one here says. this is in reference to the us 1991 initial cd release. Nevermind was never meant to change the world, but you can never predict when the Zeitgeist will hit, and Nirvana's second album turned out to be the place where alternative rock crashed into the mainstream. This wasn't entirely an accident, either, since Nirvana did sign with a major label, and they did release a record with a shiny surface, no matter how humongous the guitars sounded.

If Nirvana isn’t onto anything altogether new, Nevermind does possess the songs, character and confident spirit to be much more than a reformulation of college radio’s high-octane hits. Nevermind finds Nirvana at the crossroads - scrappy garageland warriors setting their sights on a land of giants. In This Article: Kurt Cobain, nirvana. Want more Rolling Stone?
