Album · 2004 · 11 Songs. More By 65daysofstatic. See All. One Time for All Time. Don't Go Down to Sorrow - EP. 2007. The Destruction of Small Ideas.

The band's first album, The Fall of Math, was released in September 2004, to critical acclaim, described as "an album that can retain the dynamics, fraught tension and climactic explosiveness of its peers and influences, whilst still sounding like one of the most urgent and direct long-player releases of the year. The band released a further four studio. In 2005, 65daysofstatic remixed Alkaline Trio's single "Burn" from the album Crimson Spooks the Horse", a track by Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies, for inclusion on the reissue of their first album, Hurrah! Another Year, Surely This One Will Be Better Than the Last; The Inexorable March of Progress Will Lead Us All to Happiness. 65daysofstatic live in Cork in 2007.

Released September 20, 2004. The Fall of Math Tracklist. 1. Another Code Against the Gone Lyrics.

65daysofstatic certainly aren't the first band to feature electronic and rock elements, but the way they combine the two is truly unique. Glitched up beats interact with their live drummer, synths gurgle behind harsh guitars, and everything mixes together to create something really special. What's more, 65daysofstatic rarely resort to the traditional drawn out crescendo that permeates much of Post Rock. POP! Granted they’re not likely to be tearing up Top Of The Pops any time soon (although wouldn't that be awesome?), but these are short songs that are immediate.

The Fall Of Math captures the immediate and arresting impact of 65dos. Their combination of energetic instrumental rock with advanced electronica is showcased here in ultimate fashion. Caleb Bratcher Post rock? Post metal? Math rock? Experimental electronica? Whatever this gets labeled these days, it's fantastic.
