The album was produced by The Get Up Kids themselves, with co-producers Chad Blinman and Alex Brahl. Blinman also recorded and mixed the album, with Brahl assisting with additional engineering. The album was a financial success, peaking at on Billboards Heatseekers 200 albums chart in North America, and gathered a great amount of critical acclaim. The album was released only on 10 vinyl, the album was printed on black vinyl, save for two limited pressings,500 translucent green and 500 clear. All tracks written by The Get Up Kids, the entire EP was later combined with the bands other EP Woodson and re-released on one CD entitled The EPs, Red Letter Day and Woodson. The songs Forgive and Forget and Anne Arbour were later released on the compilation album Eudora. 8. Four Minute Mile is the debut studio album by American rock band The Get Up Kids. The Get Up Kids evolved out of the breakup of Kingpin, which consisted of high school friends guitarist Jim Suptic, bassist Rob Pope and his brother drummer Ryan Pope. After that group's demise, vocalist/guitarist Matt Pryor formed Secret Decoder Ring with Suptic, before they broke up after a six months.
I figured had to be something special. This band probably doesn't need an introduction, but here's one anyway. The Get Up Kids are a five-piece o/pop punk band from Kansas City, Missouri that formed in 1995 and broke up in 2005. They reunited three years later in 2008, and have been active ever since. This is mostly due to one particular album, 1999's incredible Something To Write Home About, which features 12 insanely catchy pop songs that simply never get old.
