Today, being not only a global citizen, but also a student, I realise that I have a moral responsibility towards the environment. It is the youth of today that is going to bear the consequences of the actions of today. It is our duty to ensure that our actions only do well to the environment and do not cause any more harm than what is already done. As the young generation, our voice matters. Our words are starting to matter. With the UAE government continuously being supportive, students are now working together as one team towards a common goal  . To me and probably to the youth across the world, this is just the beginning of us taking over environmentally. The reader is an Indian student based in Dubai.

Youths of every race and dimension, have always stood center stage in the socio-economic developments of nations across the globe. They represent a measure of success or failure for every State or region based on what governments do with them and for them. They could be the driving force behind the development and peaceful existence of any nation or region. It is therefore no surprise that when youths decide to galvanize their passions and desires into real action, one could see strength and meaning written all over such passion.

The Youth of Today is the first album from the British Jamaican reggae band Musical Youth, released in 1982. The album includes the UK hit "Pass the Dutchie" which also hit number 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album was released shortly after the success of "Pass the Dutchie", which is the album's opening song. The Youth of Today contains twelve reggae tracks, written by Freddie Waite and Musical Youth themselves, and produced by Peter Collins.

Andrew Sean Greer has just won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his comic novel Less, about a failed novelist who embarks on a trip round the world rather than attend his ex-lover's wedding. He discusses writing about gay marriage, ageing and why the win came as a surprise. Following the announcement that the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse prize for UK Comic Fiction is being withheld for the first time in its history, journalist and critic Arifa Akbar joins Andrew Sean Greer to discuss the current climate for writing a laugh-out-loud novel. Presenter: Kirsty Lang Producer: Caroline Donne.

See a Problem? We’d love your help. Somewhere in there he lost the first phase of youth, like the first phase of a rocket; it had fallen, depleted, behind him. And here was the second. How dreadful if someone came upon naked Less today: pink to his middle, gray to his scalp, like those old double erasers for pencil and ink. He has never seen another gay man age past fifty, none except Robert. He met them all at forty or so but never saw them make it much beyond; they died of AIDS, that generation.
